Course Architect Comments
This course is based on a PGA 2000 Championship Golf course entitled Links Course at Hatteras Isle by Terry Grayson. I used the architect file Mr. Grayson made available to the public and converted his course to TW 08. There are quite a few differences between his course and mine however due to difficulties with the whole process of porting over.

Here is a brief explanation for each hole:

Hole 1 - Safest shot is to lay up and set up your approach from about 205 yards.
Hole 2 - This is a short PAR 4 with the green in reach with a well placed tee shot.
Hole 3 - A dogleg left with the 1st fairway ending at about 320 yards.
Hole 4 - Your tee shot is over water, but this is not a very hard PAR 3.
Hole 5 - The only PAR 5 on the front nine. Your tee shot can travel pretty far, but beware of the contours on the fairway. They can make for a difficult approach shot!
Hole 6 - A fairly straight forward PAR 4 and an easy birdie even with VERY DRY green conditions.
Hole 7 - A tricky little PAR 3 with two PIN positions protected by a big bushy tree!
Hole 8 - Another dogleg left, but not that difficult because of the wider fairway and less trees.
Hole 9 - The hardest hole on the front nine. A precise tee shot will make your life easier! Water is in play off the tee as is the Beach Sand which is more difficult to play out of then bunker sand.
Hole 10 - A 290 yard tee shot sets you up nicely for a birdie on this PAR 4.
Hole 11 - Trees may come into play on this hole around the green. Not an especially long PAR 4.
Hole 12 - After taking a break at the rest area, you are greeted by a short PAR 3.
Hole 13 - This is probably the hardest PAR 5 on the course. A good long drive may set you for an eagle attempt.
Hole 14 - This is a medium length PAR 4 with a slight dog leg to the right. Several PIN positions are protected by a tree.
Hole 15 - This is the longest PAR 3 on the course. Several PIN positions are protected by a beautiful bushy tree!
Hole 16 - This is the start of the three finishing holes which can make or break your round. A well placed tee shot will set you up for hopefully a good approach shot.
Hole 17 - This is a dogleg right. Your best landing spot for your tee shot is between 290 and 300 yards.
Hole 18 - The finishing hole is a rather difficult PAR 5 especially with the difficult PIN placement.

Thanks again to everyone who downloads and plays my courses!

A special thanks to Ray Lloyd for testing this one. He tested it using Very Dry greens and Breezy winds. Seeing as the course is set on an island(s) in the ocean, a more realistic green condition would be Normal or Wet.

Enjoy your round on this mysterious PAR 71 course!
