I have played in TW08 the following TW06 & TW07 courses:
* TW07 courses:
- Pine Valley 07 (by Hiker Bob)
- Turnberry (by Hyno Designs)
* TW06 courses:
- Pinnacle Course at Troon North 2006 (EA Sports stock course)
- Plantation Course at Kapalua 2006 (EA Sports stock course)
Both TW07 courses are amazing designs. The load time is maybe a little long, possibly due to the high detail level of both courses, but then runs fine.
The TW06 courses runs very smoothly. |

Hiya Rubencubo, thanks for the update, i was wrong, indeed also the stock courses are listed.
So i also added Pinnacle Course at Troon North 2006.... and Plantation Course at Kapalua 2006 to the TW06 list.

My pleasure Pat needed a project and being retired I have far to much time on my hands lol. But being serious it was
real fun to see how many great courses that people may be able to play sometime. just setting out on TW 07

About logo.dds for TW08.
I successfully installed most of my favorite TW06 courses into TW08. Yay. For about 8 of these courses, I could not find a matching logo.dds in the downloads linked by Gunpower61. (But that is an excellent starting point.)
Then I read the helpful and detailed instructions in this topic in this Forum:

And then I read the reply that cited the DDS editing software PAINT.NET. I decided to try an older version (3.5.11) at this link: https://paintnet.en.uptodown.com/windows/download/57957
I pasted a working logo.dds file into the edit window of the app. On the left panel is a toolbox that reminds me of MS DOS Paint (ha ha). I was able to erase the inside artwork of the hexagon and use the paint bucket and the overlay text editor to create a primitive but totally functional version of a logo.dds file for my TW06 courses. (Next I may try embedding a bit of the splash.tga file.)
I hope this helps any persons who like to curate older courses for TW08. |
