Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to make an ocean on your course?

Thanks!

I'm talking about creating an ocean like on Cypress or pebble. I'm playing around with it right now by creating a large body of water so that the other end is out of site, Seems to be the best method so far

That's what I did with Whistling Straits but if it's not big enough it's gonna cause you some headaches...

draw it and flatten it, make sure the back edge is lower than the ocean though because you can't get to the edge, although if it is big enough, i doubt you;ll see the back edge..you could always flatten it, remove the ocean shape, change the perimeter settings so the non flat edge is gone, then redraw the water where it goes, should eliminate any problems at the edge...
I attached a screenie of a course I am tinkering with, it shows how I did it, :)...if it is a real course and you use terraign assist, the ocean area should be relatively flat already...if it is a fantasy course, use a flat plot, draw your ocean, make a buffer around it ( I do 2 buffers, but i am weird lol) then make your elevations on the land..but never ever make the base plot ocean and build on it with land textures, your asking for trouble, I for one always make mmy base plot a path, and then draw land around it and build on that buffer, I never go right off the base plot..but that is just me
