Hi,
I hope you can help. The program crashes out at the loading screen just after I select a course. The error log says:
TW2008 caused an Access Violation in module CourseData.dll at 0023:037707b3.
Exception handler called in main thread.
Error occurred at 6/23/2023 14:07:24, in version .
C:\Program Files (x86)\Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08\bin\TW2008.exe, run by User.

Read from location 00000050 caused an access violation.

Hello Ray,
Do you have the crash on all courses you select, or just on 1 course ?
What you can try:
Right click the TW08 start icon, and choose: Properties....compatibility...and check the box: run this program in compatibility mode for
And in the list select: XP ( service pack 3 ) and click: Apply
Another thing you can try:
Uninstall a custom course, and after that reinstall it and try to play it. |

Thanks Gunpower61,
There's no change when I select Vista compatibility as you have suggested.
TW08 will not work with any course.
I also meant to say that the following message appears when I click the desktop icon to start the game.
"Your last game terminated abnormally. Would you like to continue it?"
Choosing yes, the game does not start at all
Choosing no, I get through to choose any course but the game crashes at the loading screen as mentioned above.
Any more ideas?

Hello Ray, try to change your player in TW08, try to play a course with another player.
Start TW08, choose: change profile...and select another player.
Maybe your player got corrupted, or maybe you forgot to do the confidence folder fix on your player.
